The North-Florence Neighborhood Association was established in April 2006 and
is formally recognized by the City of Peoria. The Association represents all the
residents and property owners of the area bounded by Forrest Hill, Sheridan Road,
War memorial Drive, and Knoxville Avenue, in the City of Peoria, Illinois
Any resident of this area shall be considered a member of the Association if they
have paid dues as appropriate or have been granted a free membership.
The objectives and purposes of the association are:
- to provide accurate and pertinent information to residents and property owners
in a timely manner. - aid in procuring funding for neighborhood projects.
- nurture a sense of unity and security among residents
- work toward maintaining and/or improving property values.
- form a united front in advocating for remedies to neighborhood problems.
- be and effective conduit for communicating with city agencies/representatives
in general improving the quality of life withing the neighborhood while, being a positive partner in overall city progress.
The regular meetings of the association are held on the third Tuesday of the first month of the calendar quarter (January, April, July, and October) at 6:30 PM
in the Fellowship area of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located along the northern edge of the neighborhood between North St. and Evergreen Court.
